SOY WAX
Susan Morton’s custom made hand blown glass candles use exclusively soy wax. Soy wax is much better than paraffin for her candles and for her customers. While paraffin candles have been shown to give off toxic air agents from numerous carcinogenic compounds in the paraffin, soy candles are safer, using no carcinogens, no animal fats and no petroleum products. Susan has found that there are many benefits of soy wax over paraffin. Soy Wax burns 30% to 50% longer. It is water soluble, non-toxic and biodegradable. Little or no soot is produced from burning soy wax. It holds color and scent. It will not discolor walls or furniture, which paraffin does because of its petroleum byproducts. Soy wax is a renewable resource. Soy wax is comparable in price to paraffin. It is truly American made, using no imported petroleum
